Custom Herbal Formulas, Designed For Your Body

THE REAL PROBLEM
It's that it hasn't been understood.
If you have been dealing with hormone imbalance, fatigue, brain fog, digestive discomfort, or chronic pain, you have probably already tried:
Supplements that didn't work
Diet changes that felt restrictive
Medications that only masked symptoms
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the same symptom can have entirely different root causes.
Which means the same supplement will not work for everyone. Guessing leads to frustration.
Most of our patients arrive after supplements, diets, and medications have only partially worked. These are the patterns we see most often.
01
PMS, irregular cycles, fertility challenges, perimenopause, and menopause symptoms. TCM patterns: Liver Qi stagnation, Blood deficiency, Kidney Yin or Yang deficiency.
02
Persistent low energy, post-viral exhaustion, adrenal strain. TCM patterns: Spleen Qi deficiency, Kidney essence depletion, dampness blocking clear Yang.
03
Poor concentration, memory lapses, mental heaviness. TCM patterns: Heart Blood deficiency, Spleen dampness obstructing the Shen, Liver Yang rising.
04

05

Chinese herbs are powerful, but only when used correctly. The combination, dosage, and timing all matter. Taking the wrong herbs can:
Worsen an exisitng imbalance rather than correct it
Delay real healing while symptoms shift or supress
Create new symptoms unrelated to the original concern
This is why a proper TCM diagnosis preceeds every custom formula we build. Pattern first, prescription second.
Supplements and medications typically target isolated symptoms with standardized dosing.
Traditional Chinese Medicine treats the whole system
If you have tried eliminating gluten, adding magnesium, cycling through probiotics, or balancing hormones with generic protocols and still do not feel like yourself, the issue is rarely a missing ingredient. It is usually a pattern of imbalance that a one-size-fits-all approach cannot reach.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been refining this diagnostic framework for over two thousand years. A custom herbal formula combines multiple herbs that work synergistically, and it is adjusted over time as your body responds. It is precise, systematic, and profoundly personal.
That is what we do at Healing with Zen. No guesswork. No generic protocols. Just personalized, root-cause care.
The questions patients ask most often before their first consultation.
A custom Chinese herbal formula is a personalized prescription of medicinal herbs selected by a trained Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner to address your specific pattern of imbalance. Unlike pre-packaged supplements, each formula is tailored to your individual symptoms, constitution, root cause, and is adjusted over time as your body responds.
Supplements and medications typically target isolated symptoms with standardized dosing. Traditional Chinese Medicine identifies the underlying pattern causing symptoms, such as Liver Qi stagnation, Kidney Yin deficiency, or Spleen Qi deficiency, and treats the whole system. Herbal formulas combine multiple herbs that work synergistically, and they are refined as your condition changes.
Chinese herbs are powerful but only work correctly when matched to your specific TCM pattern. Taking the wrong herbs can worsen existing imbalances, delay healing, and create new symptoms. In Chinese Medicine, the combination of herbs, dosage, and timing all matter, which is why practitioner guidance is essential.
On the free 15-minute discovery call, we can answer general questions about herbs and how herbal therapy works. We will not be able to discuss your main symptoms or identify potential root imbalances, as this is done during the full herbal consultation that can last between 30 to 45 minutes. There is no pressure to commit to treatment by scheduling a 15-minutes discovery call.
